Front hub and rust

I would chip off the rust, maybe use a wire cup brush on a grinder... rust-converter primer, and paint.

If you have those clevis forks out, maybe replace with them with the KK versions that are ~1/2" longer

Naval Jelly works good to remove stuff like that.
Looks like your KJ has suffered from major salt corrosion, almost Titanic like in appearance! :gr_grin:

Need to install new suspension for sure after you clean up all of the rust. Man those springs are almost stacked sitting still.
But hammer and knock rust off, then sand / grind away rest of rust etc

Good god, that’s a lot of rust :icon_eek:

I thought mine was bad, coming from Michigan, but it has nothing on that.
