Our 2005 Liberty 4WD has 130k miles. The front drive shaft has some play in it. One shop told me that I should put in one that has been converted to non-cv joint i.e. just universal joints. Is this possible and recommended? I see replacement ones on Amazon for less than $160. Do I need anything special to replace it myself? I am away from home in Arizona for awhile and don't have all my normal jacks and tools. Thanks for any and all suggestions.
