Hello,

I need a front drive shaft + CV Joints on both ends for my Jeep Liberty Sport 2002 3.7L V6 automatic with 4x4 on a separate lever mounted on center console.

I have found various websites that have the part I need.

One in particular has a brand new one for 165.00

The link is here:

Driveshafts - Jeep Front Driveshaft with CV Joint - Driveshaft Parts

First off the part is for a Grand Cherokee but I was told it would work with my Jeep Liberty. Is this possible?

Also at this website they list 2 other front drive shafts which say explicitly they are for my Liberty and they are:

Driveshafts - Jeep Front Driveshaft with CV Joint - Driveshaft Parts

AND

Driveshafts - Jeep Front Driveshaft 30' - Driveshaft Parts

The idea is for me to buy the part and then have a mechanic I know do the install on his own time, so I need to make sure I get him the right part.

Most folks sell the front drive shaft for over 300.00 so the 165.00 seems maybe to good to be true?

Thanks,
Jim

Believe it or not, I just recently dealt with them with no problems. Being in Canada though, I had to pay a little duty as it passed the border. I installed it myself with the help of the fine folks at Jeepkj and have had no issues. Works well.

Driveshaft Parts is a good company to deal with. I've ordered the CV from them, and the product, service, and price was good.

The drive shaft are different lengths. The driveshafts ends are the same. Part number me807 and me709 are the ends you need to replace on your current driveshaft. The transfer case end is the one that normally goes bad (me807). If you need the whole drive shaft you need dsj 910. It's 19" weld to weld. This is for a 3.7 engine automatic.

I need the entire front drive shaft + both CV Joints all attached from some company. So I need the CV Joint that goes to the front differential, the drive shaft itself (19" ) and the CV joint that goes to the transfer case.

Does DSJ910 refer to all these parts or does it simply mean a drive shaft of 19" ?

Thanks,
Jim

Thanks for all of the replies! The part below is the one for my Jeep Liberty.

Part Number: DSJ910

My opinion is they need to fix their website, since they say the above part is only for GRAND CHEROKEE FRONT DRIVESHAFT which apparently is not true.
