As a result of offroading on saturday i was losing air in my tire. I made it home put air in and was driving around on it for 2-3 days then last night, I went to drive and it was flat. What is the best way I should go about handling this. I am unsure if it is a nail or puncture. Should i change to the spare and take it to midas? Or try to use that green slime stuff to plug the hole?

Put the spare on,do not drive on the flat tire and do not put any type of fix-a-flat in the tire,then take the flat to a tire shop and have them inspect it.
If you have TPMS and add any type of fix-a-flat stuff you will need a new tire(regardless of TPMS or not) and a new TPMS sensor.
If you drive on the flat you will need a new tire and possibly a rim(duh,a no brainer).

Dont put that crap in there... Switch to spare and bring flat to place to get checked and patched. Yeah its a pain to change it, but then if it take a while at least you can leave it with them and go do something else while you wait.

If it holds air even for a short while, use compressor and get to tire shop.
They need to take the tire off and do an inside patch if it has a nail hole. As long as the sidewall is good, have a wheel balance done again too.

If your spare doesn't hold air either, your problem goes far, far deeper than the road wheel's leak.

My stupid spare has been leaking since day one. Slow leak which is even more of a PITA. I submerged it in water and found no bubbles. I have to re-inflate it ever 10 days or so, if I don't the damn TPMS starts flashing at me. ugh!
I'm thinking of getting the spare replaced with a Destination A/T tire to match the other 4. Money is tight right now so I'll live with the stupid slow leak spare...

What are you using for a jack....the factory one scissor/bottle jack? I use my factory scissor jack on the LCA , but the jack is getting pretty worn out and has a bit of a bend in it now...so I will have to bite the bullet and get a small hydraulic floor jack and keep it in back with the rest of my gear. But yeah, if you are careful and use the jack properly, then yeah the LCA can be used for lifting the front.
Oh yeah, make sure you get the notch in the jack's lift area lined up with the tabs in the LCA...and keep the jack as close to the LBJ as possible....

well mine was leaking around the rim......so take it to somebody and tell them to put it in water and i bet thats where its leaking from or the val.

No pics...sorry. Take a good look at theunderside of the LCA and you will see what I mean....there's a pattern on the bottom of the arm and the jack has a groove in it....just get the jack to fit into one of the cross pieces of the LCA.
Tab A fits into slot B...

It loses about 1 PSI every...oh...30 hours I'd say.

Try using dish soap in the water to see if you get bubbles.
I would just take it and have it broken down and put some grease on the rim where the bead sits and put a new valve stem in, and you should be good to go.
It could be your air valve. Make sure it is tight. They make a valve tool for that and it is about 2 dollars.
Just a thought.

I did tighten the valve stem with a little tool I bought for that. Still leaks. I checked for holes in the tire, none that I can see so yeah I guess it's leaking around the rim.
Anyway, I'll likely change the tire one of these days to match the other 4 on my Jeep.
