Up to E30. What cars take that? We must be behind the times then.Never heard of E30.
I do not see a selection for only 5% though on video.
Your station has fully customized for settings like 7% as example?
It just allows you to run different blends with a flex fuel vehicle, a flex fuel vehicle can run any percentage of ethanol.... Like if you have a half tank of gas and then top off with E85, etc..
Some like the 30% because it gives a bit better mileage while still being cheaper and cleaner than 10%.
The other station we have nearby lets you select increments of 5%, but the minimum is 10% in which case it gives you regular gas, and as you go up it adds more ethanol, i think the highest is of course 85%.
I have run 15% and 20% through motors to clean them out. Yes E85 does retain moisture more than regular fuel. But if you put in some E20 for example in a small engine, and ran it through in a single day and then filled back up with regular 10% then no big deal. I do this once a year to my snowblower, but be WARNED if you have a metal gas tank DO NOT allow the higher ethanol blend to sit in it for long, eventually over time it will create rust, but then regular fuel from a station with a bit of water in its fuel will as well. My snowblower has a metal tank and a bowl type filter and element that i can take apart and clean, so i run E20 through it once a year and it cleans out the fuel system nice, clean the fuel filter out, fill back up with regular gas, and life it good.
I had a couple gummed up boat fuel tanks last year, they had gas in them that was five years old, no kidding the guy let them sit that long. Dumped them out into a recycling container at the local service station and then put two gallons of E85 in each, let them sit for a day, then flipped upside down and let them sit another day, let them sit on each side for a day... etc... Basically give the entire inside of the tank a soak. Then dumped them out again at the service station into their big tank for drained fuel and fluids... They were clean smelling and shiny inside, really did the job to clean them up.
The E85 makes a good solvent....
