Hello,

I'm new this site so please forgive me if I'm posting in the wrong area,

About a day ago the driveshaft's slip-yolk slipped right off the stem that connects to the transfer case. How in the hell does this happen, is there a pin somewhere that may have disintegrated? All u-joints are together and stable, everything else is intact. I'll post pictures soon.

My only guess is the transmission mounts may be worn out, with that and the shifting loads in the drive shaft + common/light potholes may have made a scenario that caused this to happen.

I have never seen that happen. I would've had to slide a lot as it's on there by a few inches. Is it possible the rear suspension is shot and the axle moved far enough to dislodge it? I'm not saying it can't be the mounts, but I'm not sure if that would create enough slop or leverage to pull it off.

No pin or anything. Just a friction fit.
