So today I was leaving work and walking to my Jeep and I opened the locks with my fob, go to open rear driver side door to drop my laptop bag in and the thing wouldn't budge.

Long story short, it turned out not to be the fob because the switches inside seem to not work reliably now either. Sometimes, all 4 locks work fine, frequently after a few minutes 'rest'. Most of the time, some of the locks only go up part of the way or down part of the way.

If it was one door, I'd say actuator... but the fact that it's multiple doors at a time makes me think electrical.

What would be your first guess? I'm thinking relay is going bad so there's not enough current going to the actuators? Not much else makes sense when it's all the doors and it's intermittent.

Yea, fob work on tailgate glass still and I can definitely hear the relays clicking when I use it or the interior switches (obviously unsuccessfully).

Good point on the battery, I seem to think it was pretty old as well. That's an easy DMM test.

So had the battery and contacts checked. Fabulous condition, battery is five years old but holding up to spec.

First half the day today, all of the relays and actuators were working fine. By the end of the day after a trip to Costco, the symptoms popped up again.

It seems to be the driver side front and rear doors now, though not at the same time and rarely one of the passenger side ones won't go up or down properly. I'm going to have to get it checked out, I just can't imagine two+ actuators or both relays went at the same time.

Maybe looking at body control module at this point?
