If you're not getting a world class deal on something I'm not so sure I would bother as your not improving on the 245/70X16 setup that fits your rig now.
The only reason may be they don't make a 16 in a tire that will fit. That said my '05 will work with that wheel, the wheel on the inside is very close to the brake calipers however. I had a mm, maybe a bit more clearance up front and that's about it. I'm not sure I'd go play in some loose pee gravel or something that size and wheel deep as you may jam something in between the wheel and caliper. On the street or unimproved road surfaces that we all spent more time on I don't think it would be that big a thing myself.
