Do I have ABS?

How can I tell if I have ABS or not? '02 Limited.

Slam on the brakes really really hard in some gravel. Or if you wanna play it safe get yourself a build sheet. You can ask your dealer and they'll pull it and print it, or go to the Jeep website and request one (takes about 5-7 days).

The anti-lock brake unit is a little in front and left of the master cylinder. You'll see the 4 brake lines running into it.

Thanks! I've seen that little unit next to the master cylinder with the lines connected.

ABS would be the first thing I would ask for when I am buying a new (or used) vehicle.

from what i read on here and at lost, i was told the kj's didnt get abs until 05+

No. That's ESP.
ABS was there from 03. Before that rear brakes were drums.

ABS was an option through 05 as far as I know. Not standard equipment. Mine is an 05 and it is listed under options on the window sticker. I think in 06 it became standard equipment.
