Yup, Mark makes a killer setup with his Backbone.
Well worth it if you want/require a winch for your Liberty and want to retain the stock look of the front bumper, your only other option for adding a winch is an ARB front bumper or fabricating something from scratch.
In one day alone we used our winch 6-8 times!
It has paid it's way!
Best $365.00 I have spent for an accessory for our Rig.

It took me about 90 minutes to install it. As for it's strength?
It is plenty strong enough to recover your's or someone else's vehicle.
I also have Chinese made winch which only set us back $401.92 with taxes.
Incidencly the exact same as a Superwinch model for $200.00 plus more!

Like I said, it's worth the money if you want a winch mounted to the front of your KJ...

Search through my posts here for a link to many photo's of Jen and I beating on our rig and then you will see some pictures of me getting stuck and making use of our winch.

Jen and I are glad we bought it!

Cheers

The light strip above the winch.... you make it or???

Yes, it is actually a light bar that I made and originally used for my '76 Mini.
I just made two mounting brackets for it to adapt it to fit the roller fairlead bolt
pattern.
I still need to mount some quick release lamp steadies to the lamps and hood
to reduce the lamp vibration.

I like the plain look of it, but i am looking for a bumper that will also accomadate a tow bar to tow behind a truck or motorhome.

Would the d-rings on this be strong enough to attach a tow bar to for towing.

The strength is is not the problem. You can lift a KJ off the ground from those recovery points! But that is just what those two points should only be used for is recovery.
The reason I say that is that they sit too high to be used as a tow point.
In order to tow your Liberty behind a motorhome the tow bar should be as near as horizontal as possible (+/- a few degree's) so that it tracks properly behind the towing vehicle.

In this case I personally wouldn't use it for towing
