I fixed the cv boot. I just went to NAPA, spent 10 bucks and came home with a pair of clamp pliers and 5 small boot clamps. I still have a vibe though. I might take the driveshaft to a driveline specialist around here or something. I'm about to request a name change to "I hate my KJ".

I'm down to the point of needing to just take it in to the shop and have them diagnose it. I have no idea where this vibe is coming from yet. Maybe they can put it on a lift and drive the wheels to see what's going on. Heck, maybe I messed up the ujoints, who knows?

I still have yet to put the front driveshaft in. I got the new cv on it last night and will install the driveshaft this weekend.

the vibe has changed a little; it is most noticeable at 55 MPH. It continues on deceleration and constant speed. It vibrates the steering wheel and the seat and sometimes feels like the whole body is vibrating. It will actually rattle some loose wires I have behind the knee bolster under the steering wheel.

It used to drive smooth as glass. I think I did something at Jeep Jam. I probably bent something. That is my only thesis at this point.

Yep, they're fine. Each wheel n tire was only a half ounce out.

The bad thing about it is that it feels like it is coming from this but it is deceiving. I need someone to just diagnose it. Heck it could be a pinion bearing for all I know.
It comes and goes too which makes it even harder to pinpoint. I think it does it after things are warmed up. When I leave in the morning it seems ok then after about 10 minutes I start noticing it.

trade ya a TJ for it! :icon_twisted:

Haha! No way!!

In gonna try turning the drive shaft a half turn tomorrow and see what that does. Drove on the highway and it seems like it has to be the rear driveshaft. Rumbles under power and stops while coasting at over 70 mph.

Since the outage I found I didn't get a snap ring seated on one side of a ujoint. That was where my vibration was coming from. Now it almost completely gone and really isn't a big deal. Mine just doesn't like the lift for some reason. The higher it goes the worse it gets and vice versa.
