CV issue

Ok, so I recently picked up a whole lot of goodies from Marlin over at jeepinbyal. Has anyone in here swapped their factory CVs with some that have been trimmed down? My jeep has been up on a lift for a couple days now to get my lift and stuff in, problem is that for some reason, the driver side CV from Marlin doesn't want to seat all the way in the axle housing. Passenger side went in just fine. I was trying to see if any one else has had this issue or am I just dumb and doing something wrong? The stock cv on that side goes in easily, so I don't understand why the new one wont
