My 2006 does not have cruise and I would like to have it. I have seen it for sell on Ebay for less than $200. I wonder how hard it would be to install. The seller says it is not hard but I am skeptical...

For OEM, You need the steering wheel with the cruise buttons on it too.
kit cost me 186 on ebay, from jeepsareus. dealer wanted to charge me 214 to install. in total it cost me $186, 1 beer and 30 min to have it put in. hardest part was pulling out the air box.
disconnect your battery and hold down your brake to drain you vehicle of power so the air bag doesn't punch you out.
there are two holes behind the steering wheel containing 8mm screws that hold the airbag to the wheel. unscrew those and your airbag will come off. unplug the airbag harness and the horn harness. Next unscrew the two phillips head screws that hold the covers on. screw new covers(switches) on then run new harness and plug airbag back in. pop open the hood. disconnect anything connected to the air box, and just pull it out. the servo will sit right behind the airbox. there is a wiring harness that is not plugged into anything right beside the place where it would go. bolt down the servo and plug it in. after that run the cable coming from the servo to your TB, you will have to pull the accelerator cable out first ( there is a small metal clip on there as well). now put the CC cable in then the accelerator. Under your coolant reservoir there is a vacuum line that is incredibly hard to see... just feel for it. there is going to be a "T" on the with a cap on the downward facing nipple. remove the cap and place the vacuum line coming off the servo onto it. pop air box back in place hook everything back up. close hood and drive away with your CC working.
sorry for the illegible post but I'm at work.
That is the same kit I am looking at on Ebay. You did not have to take it to the dealer after installing to get it to work?
