My 2005 CRD Liberty's coming up on 250,000 miles and the bearing in the cooling fan pulley is getting a bit noisy. New and even used pulley assemblies are pretty pricey so I'd love to be able to just replace the bearing but I'm not sure if this is possible. Has anyone ever done this?

No, I never did. I went ahead and took the assembly apart but I wasn't able to see any manufacturer or part number on the bearing and it didn't look like any bearing I'd seen before. I think it had both rollers and balls in it. I had to replace the entire assembly.

"Mountainman" over on LOSTJEEPS removed his viscous heater and rerouted the belt. I think he looked into different fan pulleys. Might be worth a look.

250,000 miles! Wow!
