Crankshaft position sensor won't come out

I'm changing the crankshaft position sensor on my son-in-laws 08 Liberty with 158k on it. Got the connect off, the bolt out. I was able to spin the sensor in the block but I can't pull it out. I tried prying it but it is just breaking. Is there a trick to this?

Help would be appreciated.

I moved this to the KK General discussion section. The vehicle you are working on is definitely a 2008 correct?
Possibly one of KK members can better assist on this one as I have a KJ, not the KK like you are working on.

Yes do not not break it. If worse comes to worse get it towed to a pro shop or dealer if necessary.
