Hi-- I have a stock 05 sport and would like to run 245/70r16 tires on Cragar Soft 8 rims.

Do I want the 16x7's w/ 4" BS or 16x8 w/ 5" BS?

Or do I need to stick with 235/70r16's?

Thanks!

rims

My concern is that with either the 16x7 rim w/ 4" backspace or the 8" wide rims the larger tires won't fit. Has anyone used these rims and 245/70r16's on an unlifted KJ?

Thanks!

I'm running the Cragar 16x8 with 5" BS while lifted. You will run into some major rubbing issues by going with 16x7 4" BS so stick with the 16x8. Since you are not lifted you will have to stick with 245/70 16's or less to avoid major rubbing. With the 245/70's you are still looking at possible rubbing at full lock at the pinch weld and/or fog light doors. These areas can be easily trimmed or modified to eliminate any rubbing noise. However, you should clear those areas if you run 235/70's.

thanks for the reply.

"With the 245/75's you are still looking at possible rubbing on full lock at the pinch weld and/or fog light doors."

Do you mean 245/70's?

Is anyone running the 16x8 5" BS with 245/70's and no lift? How bad is the rubbing?

Yup I meant 245/70's...The rubbing sounds like its grinding. Smashing down the pinch weld and pushing in the fog light doors should eliminate that problem. ANYONE RUN 245/70's with 5" BS on the wheels while stock? I'm curious now to.
