Okay, I searched and searched and I can not find the thread with the pictures of someone installing a cruise control system in a CRD. This thread was detailed too, I was curious if A: Someone could find this for me, and B: If that would work on a 2005 Liberty Sport?

Man you're on top of things I appreciate that...Now do you know if this would work on a 2005 Sport?

Well from what i read... Technically yes it should... But you would have verify what you have for a clockspring, basically if the vehicle is wired for it or not is my understanding, and then you have to have the PCM reprogrammed by a dealer to enable the cruise control.

But i'm confused on one thing... Does the 05' have the fly by wire throttle or does it still have an actual throttle cable? Reason i ask is i know on an 02-04, by looking at the FSM's that i have on hand, that it uses a servo to run the cruise, but the newer ones you just have to program the computer and add the buttons and wiring to control it.

I'm not sure IIRC I thought the 05's still had an Actual Throttle Cable.. At least mine looks like it does

Ok, did some searching, 02-06 models have a throttle cable, 07 and later have the electronic throttle...

So yes in theory you should be able to. I would check what you have for a clockspring as that would tell you what the vehicle has for wiring in it. If all you need is the steering wheel harness and switches and then an servo for parts then its not so bad. I would also look and see if the plug is there underhood for the servo.

Ok here is what i can tell you for sure... The Servo mounts on the fender on the passenger side, should be a connector there for it somewhere if its pre-wired for it.

The part numbers i have found so far...

Servo - 04669979
Servo Throttle Cable - 53013367AC
Servo Mounting Bracket - 53013348AA

There is a clip for each end of the cable to haven't got that number yet... But if you can find one of these in a parts yard and get the whole piece that would make it easy.

Ok after even more reading..... I found mention of a few guys with 03 and 04 models on LOST who bought the kit and installed it, no dealer programming needed, just had to installed the cruise servo and switches, it all depends on yours having the wiring.

I can give you an example... I did this on a Neon, though it was an older 95 model, but it was the same basic system really. It had the cruise servo underhood and the switches on the steering wheel. I bought it all one piece at a time from parts yards and put it all together. The servo gets an electrical and vacuum connection. Normally you look where the servo mounts and you will see a T in a vacuum line somewhere nearby with a cap on one side of the T connector as they planned for it at the factory.

I think the KJ's servo is also vacuum operated as thats the normal way these things function. I would have to pop the hood and look at it to tell you for sure.

Depends on how they pulled it out, the cable and the bracket might still be attached to it if your talking a used one.

The biggest worry i would have is to pull the steering wheel airbag off and check the clockspring... A lot more money if you have to replace that.

I'll pop my hood and look tomorrow I have the Diagram Now to look.. Do you happen to have a Part's Number for an EVIC Bracket?

Complete servo... just so you can see what it looks like better.. You can see the vacuum line and cable coming off it.

Not going to lie, I think mine already has all that.. The Reason I say that is because when I went to put in the Mopar Fog Light kit all the Relay's and Fuses were there.. Just like the Fuse for the EVIC it's already there. It has a fuse for ABS as well and I don't even have an EVIC (YET!) or ABS.. I don't really know why it was that was but it was..

They do that with pretty much all of them... I have fuses and such in mine that go to nothing also. I think they did it mainly to keep production differences down, grab a fuse panel and its loaded with fuses for any model, sport, limited, etc..

Mine has a fuse for the sunroof yet no sunroof, so i used that circuit to power other stuff. Also mine had fuses in every slot, regardless of that option being installed. Hey nice having extra fuses from the factory i guess... LOL
