Confused about suspension parts

OK, I thought I had this all figured out, went to place an order at Rockauto.com and got very confused.

Does the 04 liberty sport have front shocks AND struts? Rockauto.com lists front shocks as RSX5704 and front struts as RS17000. I was under the impression it was struts up front shocks in the back. Someone want to clear my confusion?

Both front and rear are considered shocks, just that the front is a coilover setup and the rear is a traditional shock absorber. Not sure on the P/N's and what you'd actually need.

That's what I thought, but I'm still confused as to why there would be two separate parts listed, one under "shock absorbers", one under "strut assembly". I got the part numbers mixed up in my OP. Strut listed is Rancho RSX17505 and shock listed is RS5764.
