Hi everyone, I have a 2010 4x4 limited my clutch fan was giving issues and i took it out. Currently running okay with electrical fan alone. Are they any issues that I can encounter if I don’t install a new one?

The mechanical fan is part of the Tow package on the KJ Limited, it might be the same with yours.

You can get the build sheet for your Jeep by entering the VIN at this site:

Might get hot when you are in traffic or going slowly. They are cheap enough to buy, I'd put a new one on.

The clutch fan is an add on with the tow package.

What issues was it giving you?

As long as you are not towing +2000k load or aggressive uphill climbs, you should be fine.

Strange, the CRD has no electric fan, only the viscous drive one.

Yea, the 3.7 for the 2008-2012 had a standard option of just the E-Fan. Tow package added an auxiliary transmission cooler and the clutch fan.

Some, like me, added in the clutch fan later.
