So we got our Jeep back on Friday & all seemed well until now....

When we stop at a light or stop sign then go to pull away we hear this audible clunk sound coming from possibly the right lower control arm area or?
Almost as though something is coming unseated/loose.
Any ideas?

Have you checked the rear lower control arms yet?
I've had to replace mine, bushings wore out

I guess I'll have to slide my gimp body under
the truck and have a look when Jen gets home;
but the sound seems to coming from the front of the Jeep.
I just spoke to Jen and she said it didn't make any noise today!
Thanks for the tip Tom.

My wife and I just bought a 2006 Liberty Sport with 55,000 that was a trade-in at the Subaru Dealer down the street, we love it, but the Dealer can't find the "clunk" in the back, they replaced the upper control arm and ball joint, going to ask today if they checked the lower control arms. We used to own a 2005 Subaru Outback XT LTD, we hated it, 250hp Turbo, paddle shifters...oooooh, suspension too soft, horrible on turns, and 18mpg on high test gas, couldn't afford to drive it.

Tom, I'm going to replace my rear lower arms. Can I use the '04 and later arms on my '03? I prefer the bar style arms more than the stamped steel. I presume the styles are the same length but can't find specs anywhere.

After the dealer changed the rear upper control arm the clunk was louder than ever, then they changed the rear springs, the noise is now gone.
