Got the new Ujoints on today, new rear rotors, pads, parking brake and parking brake hardware/shoes. Took it for a drive and I heard a click/clack sound twice. Once it was triggered by nothing and the other time a small bump. It's not a constant noise. Got home and took the brakes apart again and on the driver's side, once I removed the rotor this fell out

It looks like it is to me- the cable goes in at the top and it looks intact, passenger side looks the same (piece came from driver's side)
Here are a few pics of the cable...

Looks like the other piece is there I can see the tip of it and where it meets the cable and where it meets the brake pad. You should just have to remove the top brake spring. The part that fell out and the part still attached to cable fit together like a pair of scissors. They hook onto the brake pad and the spring tension keeps everything in place.

So that's part #4 right? So can I just put it back in?

It looks a scratched up but doesn't look bent or cracked or anything.

Then you should be able to stick it back in there and try it again.
