clevis LCA problems

I had to disconnect my clevis from my Lower control arm and now im having problems getting them back on. Anybody have any idea how I can get them back on with out a ratchet strap????

Could you not get a tool from Advance Auto or something; they loan tools out.

unfortunatly the nearest auto parts store is about 6 miles away . If I could have walked I would have went and got a spring compressor. Fortunatly I have a buddy on the way who was a mechanic in the army. He just got off work. I have never been this frustrated in my life!!

Ratchet straps makes it a breeze to do,takes longer to hook up the straps then to actually get the lower clevis bolt in via ratchet straps.You should invest in a couple,there about $15-$20 for 4 at most auto places.

You can loosen the lower control arms and slide the arm around some to help align the clevis, but remember to mark the location of the LCA bolts and put the back exactly where they were or you will need an alignment if you dont.

You will need a alignment regardless since he was installing a lift.
