I worked so many long hours this summer, I neglected the Jeep in exterior cleaning.
Well some imbedded stains started to appear in the hood..
I have not used a clay bar on the jeep in years! ..ya bad for paint...
No kidding after washing it was like sandpaper....
So step one is wash 2 x with good car wash soap.
Then apply detailer and use clay bar ...and dry with supplied cloth.
Then onto Meguires # 2 polish..and buff..(missing a step from photo..)
Then onto Meguires spray quick wax and done...I think ya get the idea..
About 1.25 hours spent on hood alone....

I have never felt the hood so smooth before! Restored the shine with stains gone! Yes!
Anyone else clay bar lately or plan to?

Need to do mine soon, haven't done it since June, way too long
Roof was done when I sold my RL rack to John but that was it

Anyone here tried out a Nanoskin? I have to say I really like it compared to clay bar.

Isn't that just a wax/sealant HJ?
I dont know how it works, however with small particles stuck into a paint job, I thought only an actual clay bar would remove them.

yea i've got the fine grade wash mitt...i just detailed the jeep (used to spend 3+ hours with a medium grade claybar on the jeep) i used carpro trix and followed with the nanoskin. i went from 2 weeks of dirt on the jeep to completely cleaned, decontaminated, and re-sealed in under 5 hours.

nanoskin makes synthetic clay products. available as a rag, wash mitt, or pad to be used with a da polisher. it's a rubber like coating on the base material that works like clay but will last much longer than a traditional clay bar, covers more area, and if dropped just needs a quick rinse off and you're back in business. most of the products are around $50 but the wash mitt can be used up to 50 or 60 times where as traditional clay is good for 3 or 4 vehicles max and if it gets dropped it's garbage.
