I've searched the forums and found very little info on the back spacing on the stock 17" chrome clads.

One thread said 4.5"...

Anyone know if this is accurate?

Thanks!

More then 5.5. i've ball parked it with a 2x4 and a tape at 6ish. i'm not sure if the bs measurement is to outside face or lip.

Rubs stock tires 235 65 17 on sway bar with lift. unlifted no issues.

Should fit 245 width but lots use spacers if your planning on buying /keeping cuz of sway.

I'm getting rid of mine as i'm done with them and going to 16s.

Yeah it follows that if the stock 16's and 17's have the same offset (38-40mm) then backspacing on the 16's is 5.5" and on the 17's will be around 5.8" or so...

Thanks!

one other conflicting piece of the puzzle I've seen is my door sticker says my 17's are 17 x 7 which does not jive with the current belief of all 17's being 17 x 7.5. Mine is also an 07.

It looks like they are 7.5 but I don't have a way to accurately measure the rim width with the tires currently on.

All i can for certainly say is that its not enough to prevent rubbing on the sway bar at stock sizes 235 with a lift.

Did I mention I don't like these rims, 80% with regards to that rubbing, 20% cuz its chrome.

shows a really good way to change them away from chrome but i decided to go a different path as I would have no way to fit 245 70 17s with no rubbing. Other concerns about going to Load E tire for duratracs and not wanting to run spacers sealed the deal.

~50 bucks more per tire (Canada) plus cost of spacers put me pretty close enough to new rims.
Your choice on spacers, it would certainly solve 80% of my rubbing concerns depending on what your next tire choice is.

more info then you asked but I'd figure I would share.

Stock Limited rims are 17x7.5 with 5.75 backspacing. I run 245/65R17 tires on pure stock 2007 Limited without rubbing. And I'm not sure what spacers you are talking about :). Spacers will decrease backspacing so it will result in rubbing on unlifted KJ
