Charging trailer battery?

I have just purchased a 2003 Libery with the factory tow package. It has the 7 pin connector.

Do I need to do any thing to hook it up to charge my trailer battery? I don't want it to over charge it.

From what I have read I would use pin 4.

I don't think you'll need to worry about over-charging the battery.
