So I'm getting tired of my weak, stock MOPAR battery deciding when to work and when not to. I need some advice. I'm getting 2 12" Subs soon, so I need a strong and durable battery to put in.

So what is the most durable battery? I've been looking at Optima and AC Delco. But I can't decide. I need something that will stay strong for as long as possible.

Thanks.

Thats the one I bought. there is a sears diehard series thats the same thing in a different colour case. There are not sears auto in Canada so I bought the Name brand.

The odyssey's are ~300 Canadian. It solved all my dimming headlight issues / lagging power windows, and starts in the cold. Worth every penny spent.

FYI thats the dual group one I have with the binding posts on the side and on top so if you have a winch or something else you can actually screw them on to the battery instead of twisting on to the top leads.

I have no idea if the commercial one is better then the regular auto or even if its different but it works for me and its what prairie battery had in stock.

Its also AGM so no transportation of dangerous goods manifest required to ship or fly as it won't spill. Or in the event you put wings on your KJ you won't have issues related to electricity.

Plus it says Extreme and is red on top so that definitely makes it better... And it came with stickers.

I recently purchased an Odyssey Pc-1500 (34-78) Dual Terminal.
Using a Midtronics EXP-800 load tester it was "shocking" and a first time this shop's load tester to ever print above 1000CCA!
Link Midtronics: Car Battery Tester with Integrated Printer

The Odyssey battery is reading 1219 CCA !!!!

As a completely sealed AGM, you got major cranking power, reserve time and no science projects ever!!

You get comercial or auto? is there even a difference? guessing none or insignificant.
1219 is hilarious compared to how delicate i had to baby my stock one after the first winter.

Did i mention the headlights dimming when you roll down windows. what a dog.

I'm running two 12s and a power inverter alot of the time off my Diehard Platinum. After a return 1000 mile trip from Bonnaroo , having to get my MOPAR battery jumped at every stop, I couldn't feel in better hands.

Apparently I got lucky with my MOPAR battery. I run 2 12's and never have a problem. When I saw a post on here awhile back about MOPAR batteries, I had it tested. It tested at 1100 CCA. The guy at NAPA tested it three times because he didn't believe it.

That was not the OEM MOPAR battery,as there only rated at 600cca's for the factory ones.

The below pic was after blasting my stereo(watching movies on my flipout) for 6 hours on a very slow day at work. Two tens with a 750watt mono amp.

Actually it is the OEM MOPAR battery. I know it's only rated at 600 CCA. That's why we tested it 3 times, because it was hard to believe.

Every vehicle I work on I have to test the battery and can tell you no OEM 600cca battery will ever put out more then 750cca's if your lucky. There tester was broken or out of calibration, could have had it set to the wrong setting also since wet celled batteries test differently then AGM batteries.

haha i drove my KJ for a month in the winter with the smallest battery walmart sold for $20 (already had the battery for another project). I think it was rated at 280 or 300cca. HAHA. it actually gave me zero issues, even with my system. My KJ killed like 2 or 3 batteries since ive owned it, but havnt killed a single one since i installed a Capacitor on my system (coincidence or solution i dont know)

First off, my apologies to the OP for hijacking this thread.

Second, TJKJ, you seem like a very knowledgeable guy and I do respect your opinion. However, you are wrong about this. It was about a month ago when I had it tested last, when I was having my P0300 code problems. It tested at 1100 CCA then. I took it to two different places today and had it tested again. The slip on the left is sitting in the vehicle not running. The slip on the right is a reading while starting the vehicle. I watched both guys set up the tester, and I assure you they were both in the correct mode.
