I have checked the fuse, tried a new one, that didnt work.
I checked the bulb, tried a new one, that didnt work either.
Not sure what to check next.
All the lights work except for the left brake light. The running light part of that light works, but doesnt get brighter like the others when brake is pressed.

Anyone had this problem or have any sugesstions?

I would probe the wire and see if it is getting voltage when the brake pedal is being pushed.

Along with that, make sure the socket and plug is good. You'll need a Torx bit (size T15, I think, or maybe a T20) to remove the taillight.

Here is the stop/tail circuit from my 2005 Liberty. If yours is the same this should help knowing what wire to probe. Also notice there is a connection between the right and left stop circuits.

Try swapping the socket from the passenger side. The sockets are known to go bad now and then. I just replaced one on my Libby a couple months ago.

Sent from my mystical handheld gizmo.
