Bolt size for rear tow hook?

Anybody know if I need a special bolt size and thread to attach a factory rear tow hook? Or can I just find bolts that fit and bolt 'em in? Are the mounting hols threaded or anything?

I think they are M12 X 1.75 X40

If you have a tap and die set, you might want to run the tap through the threads before you try and start the bolts, that is is you already didn't.

I don't have a tap & die set, beleive it or not. But good idea...maybe I can go grab one and do that before I try to mount the hook. Thanks again.
