I have two BCM's with the same part # but different Serial #'s as the one in my 2003 Jeep Liberty. I going to presume that the ser# identifies with a specific VIN when it is programed. Can they be reprogramed to work in my vehicle? I tried to just swap them out to see if they work but to no avail. When I tried the high beams my instrument panel lit up like a Christmas tree. Flashing light and all. All suggestions appreciated.

You can not switch one to another and have them work, they have to be programmed to your VIN number
part numbers mean nothing in a way, meaning you could have identical parts numbers but still not work
