I have always been confused about back spacing on wheels. Can someone explain this in simple terms? I want to know what to consider when lifting suspension and upsizing tires, and what to consider if I want the tires to flush out with the fenders (a wider stance). I believe spacers are a bad idea - correct? Personally have a 2005 KJ Renegade with 1.5” OME lift. Thanks!

What springs did you use 927 front 948 rear ?
No matter but on to wheels, 7 inch wide wheel with 4 inches of backspacing will have the tire /wheel combo sitting out with the edge of the flares
Then if you are running the 927/948 combo you can run 245-75-16s ( will lose some power and mileage ) with pinch weld pounded over

Later I found this explanation very clear and understand why there are two ways of viewing what positive and negative offset means. Cheers
