hi guys,jeep liberty 2006
just wondering if i need 75w140 also for my front diff?
i uses libby for offroad a lot
i uses castrol 75w140 limited slip in the rear axle,i can use it also in the front diff?
also there is a thing with a mopar friction additive,if we uses a limited slip oil, Do we still need this additive??

I run Valvoline 75/140 in the rear with the friction modifier in it already, and 80/90 in the front. Have for a few years that I’ve had the Jeep. No issues as of yet.

The manual specifies 75W140 for the front diff, 75W90 for the rear, unless you tow a lot, in which case use 75W140 as well.

2005 here ... I run 80W-90 Dino in the front axle. I run 75W-140 Syn in the rear axle - for no other reason than mine had the factory "tow package".

I rarely tow anything, but the manuals are ambiguous. It says 75W-90 Dino if you don't tow - but what if you happen to tow "once"?? So, what the heck, I just went with the 75W-140 Syn.

I don't tow at all, but recently put 75W140 in both diffs, it's just easier buying one type of oil.

i TOW A LOT WITH ALL 3 OF MINE, ALL HAVE 75-80w140 FRONT AND REAR
AND only DINO, none of that syn stuff that doesn't stick to the gears
