For some reason my 07 liberty doesn't have a trans dipstick, just a plug in the top of the tube. Anybody know where & could get a dipstick for a 3.7 autotrans?

I beleive you can get one at the dealer, but keep in mind, they've removed all the simplicity from being able to check your transmission fluid. There are no longer any "common sense" markings on the dipstick, just graduated markings corresponding to fluid level at a specific transmission temperature...a temperature that you cannot get from the OBDII port because it's coded for dealer use only.

Sorry to rain on your parade...

To quote Hunter S. Thompson...."Bastards!" I guess milking the customers is the way of the future. Ma Mopar, what did Diamler do to you? I miss the old Chrysler Corp.

They did that, and to most Chryslers, due to the fact that many(owners and shops) would put in the wrong trans fluid and burn up the trans.Chrysler had enough so they yanked the dipsticks.

I asked the dealer about my 07, and if I could purchase one just to check levels. He stated its not there because of what was mentioned above...and as he knew there was not a Mopar or aftermarket replacement part. He said the dealer will check the level if you are curious at no charge. Doesn't bother me none I guess. Its even cheaper for them to do an oil change so I just let them deal with that anyway. If there is an issue with trans oil levels I can guarantee they will let me know.
