ARB Front Bumper Question.

I’m pondering if i should get an ARB bumper for my 03 Gas Liberty, my main concerns are extra weight and it’s effect on gas mileage and approach angle. Right now with the stock bumper front overhang is super low and looking at pictures it seems like arb bumper will stick out fair bit, so I’m wondering if someone can give me feedback on their experience with approach angle after bumper install. Also how much gas milage did you loose due to extra weight?

If you own a liberty you already know the liberty gas mileage *****.

I have 3" lift. Full winch bumper. No change in gas milage.

Winch bumper should cover washer bottle and bottom of radiator and condenser. If it doesn't and it's going to be a daily driver ... don't bother.

ARB was not making the liberty bumpers when i was shopping. I made my own. Its a lot of man hours. I just looked at the installation manual. For $1700 plus shipping of $149 thats a good deal.

You will need to do a proper lift with OME struts And rocky road springs.
Progressive 4" rear springs.
Plan on off road CV joins from precision.
Articulation goes from 27 degrees to 43. Stock cv joints bind up on a 3" lift. Ignore anybody who says othereise. They are either AI or liars.
Plan on a right-side intermediate CV shaft and seal. Goes between the cv joint and differential. Not that expensive. It is finding one. If the seal is leaking it is because the shaft is worn at the seal contact point and splines are worn. .

Do it all at same time. It will Save your sanity. Putting a lift in a liberty is a nightmare if you never had the front end all apart. I had my front end apart 4 times learning this.

I don't care what others say here. I have been turning wrenches for a living for 55 years. The only thing that was worse working on was a F4C

Do not use spacers. You will hate them immediately.
Put the right struts and springs in. The ride will amaze you. It should have come from the factory that way.
