Hey yall! I've got an 07 liberty and I've got a really annoying rubbing sound coming from the passenger rear. And when I back up I get a clunking noise and its pretty loud... I've checked my brakes and wheel bearings and I'm pretty sure they are all right. U joints are ok... I'm lost here, any other ideas on what could be causing this? Thanks!

Did you pull the rotor off and check the parking brake?

That was my first thought. When mine came loose I used some tek screws and screwed it back on near where the original rivets were. A LOT cheaper and easier than pulling the axle to replace the backing plate. That was 2 or 3 years ago, no problems since.

Yes I have pulled the rotor off and inspected the parking brake... couldn't find anything in there that was loose or anything...

Ok cool. Next inspect your rear upper control arm for play. Check the bushings on both sides and the ball joint.
