I'm back!

Too bad Eh?:D

Here's a question...

I enquired about ARB Lockers and 4:10 gears for our KJ

These are the prices I was quoted for the following:

The ARB Lockers are the same cost which is $940.00 ea.
Front D-30 4.10's $220.00
Front D-30 Install kit $190.00
Rear 8.25 4.10's $345.00
Rear 8.25 Install kit $145.00

Labour to install the gears and lockers is $450.00 per diff so for both it would be $900.00
Labour to install the Compressor is another $225.00

So this works out to a grand Total of $4429.60 Tax in to install both front and rear gears and lockers with the Free
large ARB Compressor and air up kit.

I would do the installation of everything myself, so I am not adding labour costs!

Is this crazy or can I get these parts for less State side?

Look in vendor section for Ericautoparts , he has good prices and has been easy to deal with. Good to see you back too.

Welcome back Ryan!
Just where exactly are you going to travel where not one but two Arb lockers are needed?
I would love to have a rear Arb air Locker and a Arb Front Bumper!

Call Tim Lund at Wild West Offroad in southern Washington. Tim was the tech man at ARB in Seattle for years. He's a PRO at ARB installs and now owns his own shop. If anybody can get you stuff at better prices than what youve quoted he can! Hell, you could drive down and pick them up.

Welcome back.. :D

I think 4 wheel parts here in the states has a sale on ARB lockers, if you buy one you get the compressor free.

That sounds a little high
I did the 30 in my TJ a few years back
IIRC
$750 for the locker
$165 compact compressor
$250 install
I did install the compressor my self

A little shopping around and I bet you could find the lockers for under $800 each
the rear gears could be found for under $200
not sure on rebuild kits ,never had a locker installed on a rig that had over 40K on it

Get a quote, a rendez-vous for the installation straight on the day you get there to buy. Go the the post office to mail yourself the used parts you want to keep, then drive home with everything installed and cross them borders with nothing bought. You went to see a friend and encourage local restaurants :p Heck, i sometimes get accross the borders just to get some dirty fatty real american pizza, because up here they dont make that thin greasy pizza with real peperonnis :p

Hey Ryan, I'm happy to see you back.

I expect that you checked out Northshore 4x4. I don't have any idea where you could get the parts for less. Other than Ericautoparts in the vendor section, his gear sets for the KJ were less expensive. Did I mention that it's good to see you back here?

Welcome back Bud! That guy at North Shore is a pleasure to deal with... BTW

Thanks Luke!
I might be able to stretch my budget for the lockers and support a Canadian retailer.
As far as North Shore Off Road?
They didn't give me the time of day when I went there for OME coil springs Rancho shocks!
And told me I could only buy/use OME medium coil springs with OME shocks...
That and the Jerk off told me to buy a real Jeep!

So, NSOR lost out on a $5000.00 sale and can now lick me where I shit!
