alternative steel wheels for a libby?

did some looking here and noticed that steel wrangler wheels fit a libby. what i want is a cheap set of steel wheels for winter. can you go with 15 inch, say 31x10.50x15 tires or something else? local salvage yards want 85 bucks each for steel libby wheels(there smoking crack). so who's done what with other rims and wheels and does it affect speedo or cause check engine light?

If your Jeep is stock, you cannot go any bigger than a 245/70/16 tire on a rim with 5.5in BS. I believe the wrangler rims are 5in BS, at least the rubicons are.
