I used a Husky Drill Replacement Cord to create an extension. That way you don't have to lift the hood to plug it in.
Very helpful in winter when the hood is covered in a foot of snow.

i don't think you'll see -40 very often. maybe -40 every once in a while with the windchill, but not -40 straight temps. i'm pretty sure wind chill doesn't effect vehicles like it does people.
