Hi all,

Most of the posts on the forum were about the clutch so I'm hoping to get some help/advice/recommendation.

My AC system is 2 years old.

It held a vacuum overnight but the next day the mechanics let it idle for 45 mins before they found a leak on the AC compressor (green oval) which is probably the internal seals.

I am thinking of just replacing the compressor.

Here are my questions:
1. I read from a post on this form that I should measure the oil from the old compressor and add the same amount of PAG oil back into the new compressor. Is this correct?

2. Any other components I should change out too?

3. Any AC compressor brands to recommend?

Thank you.

Anyone knows the torque value for the line coupler at the condenser and to the evaporator connection?
It's not in the FSM.

Thanks.

Sorry don't know torque value, but does darn tight work? :icon_lol:
When you say your AC system is 2 years old, did you already replace your compressor and if so with what brand...??
(I will be sure to stay away from that one)

hahahah for sure.
I don't know what the shop put in on the jeep for my wife.
I found the values I need with my google-fu.
