I have a lead on a very good condition Rubicon 4:1 low range transfer case for a really really good price. I was thinking that would be an excellent combination along with a Rubi Crawler add on unit.
Would it/could it be made to work in a Liberty? Is it do-able?

I am interested in hearing all your views and or ideas on this!

Cheers
Ry'

Low gearing has its place, sometimes wheel speed is needed.I know that combo would be too low for what I do here.

It's a direct bolt in t-case but the shifter will be reversed so with the stock lever in 2wd the RockTrac will be in 4low and when the stock lever is in 4low the t-case will be in 2wd.Can't swap shifters either as the TJ's use mechanical linkage and the KJ uses a cable shifter.

Thank you Sir!

I'm sure I can get used to the reversed shift pattern.

backwards pattern?

fyi... that would bother the hell out of me and I'd have to engineer something to correct it.

All you will ever need to do, is print a new sticker for the lever

eh... that still means the handle is all the way UP when you're in 2WD though. that'd be annoying and make me constantly nervous, as UP is the position you put things when they're not in their normal mode (like the parking brake lever for example.)

fwiw it works great, love it. shifter issue isn't one, but I do like that it confuses people.

Sorry for the dumb question (which has probably already been asked before) but why not install the teraflex 4:1 low kit? The shifter to my knowledge remains the same..
