Be awhile since I've posted, but this one has me stumped. 2004 3.7. I've got a bit of a low speed "growl" around 10-20mph. Seems to be from the rear end. I've got Wrangler Dura-trac tires, about 9 months old. OME 1.5 lift. I've had the thing off the ground, no unusual play front or rear, all corners rotate easily and smoothly, CV's seem good, diff has been checked recently, both drive shafts rebuilt about 12-15k ago. New-ish transfer case. The manual mentions a low speed growl that goes away (mine does) could be rear axle bearings, worn etc. However, when spinning the system they rotate with no noise and feel very smooth. I'm stumped. Could this just be tires, or is there some other way to go about solving this thing. If it's tires, no worries. However, if I've got bearings going bad I'd like to address them and move on down the road, but I would rather not replace things that don't need it yet. Mileage is about 135k. Thanks for any help!
