How much can you lift the front of a 4wd with stock arms and axles?

3 to 3.5 inches ( from stock height ) is what most run with 245-75-16 tires

good size lift and good all around tire size without going to lower gears etc.

OME coils nothing else  927s front 948s rear
Bilstein shocks work well also

Welcome by the way!

Hi just bought a stock 02 Liberty Sport. should have it on the road tomorrow

tommudd you're saying that but adding OME coils 927s front 948s rear you can get 3-3 1/2 inches of lift. looking at

http://www.offroadtuff.com/jeepsuspension.php

it says that these springs will add approx 2' of lift. Am i missing something or is the site info wrong.
tks

Advertised height , that all that is
plus most everyone adds a clevis lift and / or a top plate to get a little more height out of them

Another new one so Welcome

Search around you'll find them cheaper elsewhere then straight from arb/ome.

Shouldn't have pay more then $150/pair + shipping

First, lets establish stock height. It is 19" from wheel center to the edge of the fender measured striaght up from the wheel center on all four coners. I say this for the following reason.

When I initially installed my lift, I was amazed that it measured as 3-1/2".
I went from 18" to 21-1/2" center to fender.

I have the OME 926 mediums w/ 948s in the rear - no spacers, clevis, etc... I've run this for about six months now, and the front springs have settled in at about 2" over the stock height (21" center to fender). The back has only settled 1/4" at most, as I rarely have any load in there.

As you see, the measured 3-1/2" was realy only 2-1/2" as I had an 1" of sag before I started. And now, I've lost about 1/2" to the springs "settling" in.

All-in-all I'm still happy, but am considering a top plate in the front to "level" things out again.

Great explanation Uncle Krusty. Thanks.

Did you keep stock Struts and shocks, or upgrade them as well?

No struts on a Liberty, only shocks...
and Yes replace the stock junk shocks and replace them
OME and Bilstein both make a good shock for the front and rear

also Uncle Krusty is only running medium OME's where as 98% of everyone runs the Heavy Duty 927s in the front and 948s in the rear
so his height will be somewhat lower than most and also his sag may be a little more as well
