I've put together a 30,000 miles check list of items to maintain for my KJ. It's a mixture of what is listed on the manual and what others here have stated in the past. What do you think and am I missing anything? Is this overkill?
1. Change the engine oil and engine oil filter, if not replaced at 3 months.
2. Rotate the tires.
3. Inspect the engine air filter element, replace if necessary.
4. Inspect the PCV Valve, and replace if necessary.
5. Replace the spark plugs.
6. Inspect the brake linings.
7. Drain and refill the front and rear axle fluid (diff). (75W90)
8. Flush Brake Fluid [if you want or as required] (DOT 3 or DOT 4)
9. Engine Flush
10. Check tire alignment
11. Transmission Flush Fluid (ATF+4) - (Want the filters changed; Drop pan.)
