Do you think the BFG KM2 255-70-R16 will rub with OME Medium Coils and Shocks? I don’t want to pound the pinches down or a trimming required

They are 30.3”

Maybe but it will be very close
I am running 255/70 Yokohama AT's and when I was running 245/75 MTR's I had to pound 1 pinch but not the other ,very very close
but being an '03 the fog light doors got in the way and they had to be moved with a heat gun
I get very very slight rub at full lock and reversing ,both sizes

You will need to add about 1" of rear bump stop spacing
to keep from rubbing very bad at full stuff
oh I am running that same suspension with 35K miles on it mj.gif
the year of your Jeep and 4wd or 2wd will be what makes the difference
mine is fully armored but no rock rails and even with 800+# of people I still get very very minor rub at full lock ,this brings it up to 5,300+#

Thanks J

I am running a 2004 4wd Sport

So i think 255-70-16 will rubb less than 245-75-16, is correct? or the width affect?

May rub more since they are wider , only 3/10 s of an inch shorter, depends on what wheel, backspacing and also type of tire. Also a 245-75 has a section width of 9.7 inches while the 255-70 has 10.2

Having said that I have ran the 255-70 and now 265-70 but have the pinch wleds pounded and an ARB up front so clears out a lot of plastic

245/75/16 is 31" or just shy of it, depending on mfg so the 255 should be ok just watch the swaybars on full lock

Assuming you are running stock wheels?

the 245/255/265 numbers are section width, the widest part of the tire - but that's not what rubs - the tread rubs -and most companies don't tell you the tread width.

I've had 245/75/16's that didn't hit the pinch weld at all and 245/75/16's that rubbed on every turn - different tread styles - different tread widths.

BFG KM2 255-70-R16 will not rub at all.

Proven with own experience.

Stock rims, 0.3 inch wheel spacers.

Edited:

Sorry, i was talking about a/t, so KM2 might rub.
