Another gas mileage thread, yes, but this is a good one!

Yeah, baby! On my way back from Jersey this weekend (all highway, about 2.5hr trip) I got up to 22.3 MPG according to the EVIC. Highest I've ever seen - Only thing I've been doing differently is not doing fast starts - I just ease into it and let it go. Kept it at ~65-70 the whole way home, looked @ mileage about halfway thru the trip and was stoked.

I wish I could drive 65-70, I've got a bad lead foot which keeps me at 80mph. It knows when I'm trying to drive slow and just wont allow it #-o

ha! mine stays in the 13.x range...of course it's 80% stop and go driving around town but that is still pretty bad! Heck I even shaved about a pound of lead off my foot! \:D/

Nope, my '04 gets about 17-18mpg depending - thats mostly in town.

It can get up to 18-20 on the highway but its pretty finicky.

Sorry my friend but the diesel still rules!

However diesel figures of nearly 29 mpg may look impressive, but I have to pay about $5.50 per gallon of fuel, so it is still more expensive to fuel up. :-({|=

But you guys could make a killing driving a CRD!

What are others in the U.S. who have Diesel's paying per gallon. Last I looked around here it was $1.99 vs. regular unleaded at $1.75.
