Hi
New member here. Yesterday for no apparent reason the warning lights on the dash for abs, traction and 4 wheel drive came on. I was driving in two wheel drive. It had been raining earlier and pavement was damp. Later in the day the lights were off. However when I drove the jeep the third time the same day the lights came on again. I haven't had any recent repairs and this is the first time these multiple warning lights came on.

Looking for advice
1. Is it safe to continue to drive until problem resolved
2. what the causes could be
3. Should I use scanner to see if code pops up
3. whether it could be a bad abs wheel sensor
5. it is easy to replace yourself. The part appears to be inexpensive.
6. Does anyoje have step by step instructions on how to replace an abs wheel sensor

Since I am retired and don't drive much anymore I would like to avoid paying a mechanic if I can.

My guess is an intermittent connection in the ignition switch or related wiring. Seems like all the lights coming on would be part of the check that happens routinely during start up.

The ABS light on my '05 will come on if a tire spins within 15 seconds of start because the ABS hasn't completed its' self-check. ABS and traction control are related but the 4wd light should only come on when the lever's moved or during initial start up as a bulb check.

Just guessing...
