Persistent "Glass" warning and stuck dome lights.

For anyone suffering from the "Glass" warning on the odometer with the dome lights on because your Jeep thinks the hatch is open, I may have a solution. Sometimes it's the hatch switch. Sometimes the signal wire to the hatch switch is damaged and grounding out. In my case, it was the rear wiper motor. Apparently there was a short in the rear wiper motor assembly. The wiper motor still worked, when the GLASS warning was off, of course, which was deceiving. If you suspect this with yours, unplug the motor assembly, close the gate, and hatch. If the warning goes away and the dome lights go out, it's in the motor assembly. I installed a new wiper motor and this cured the problem. I hope this helps.
