Hi - It appears both of my rear brake support plates (dust shields) are loose - are these supposed to be rivited on? Or is there a bolt missing?

Thanks for any input!

The dust shields should not be loose, I'd remove the tires and rims to get a good look in there with a flashlight to check to see why they are loose.

It seems they are mising whatever fastens them to the axle housing - I just need to know if it is a bolt or rivets - I assume the axle needs to be pulled to repair this? What a pain!

I do have powertrain warranty still on the KJ, so I am going to try the stealership to see if they will cover this. My e-brake never grabbed well, and I think this is a safety issue. I just need the right angle to approach the dealership with!

Thanks valvestem, but I am getting an error on that... is it a part outline from the service manual?
