Trying to get some help here. My 04 liberty 3.7 randomly died while driving and now wont hold idle. I replaced the throttle position sensor but it only hardly helped. Still dies out on idle and if I hold the has gas at around 2k and slowly let off it'll hold a 1k idle for twenty or so minutes.. anyone have this problem??? In serious need of help on where to start looking I'm thinking crank sensor. Any response sent to [email protected] would be hugely helpful thank you

Somewhere between being sane and insane!
The TPS has nothing to do with the idle, the IAC does that and most common issue in Chrysler's for not holding idle is a bad battery.May test okay and start the vehicle but during cranking the voltage drops to low and resets the PCM memory thus resetting the IAC and will not idle.

A major vacuum leak also can cause your issue.
