2004 engine into a 2002 chassis ?

My daughter has a 2004 Liberty with a body that is about to fall off. We just found a 2002 Liberty with a great body but a blown motor. Will the 2004 engine swap into the 2002 without much hassle ? Thanks in advance

I'd guess so, with both cars at least you have all the bits if anything needs swapping. Not really familiar with the petrol Jeeps but if I was doing it I'd charge the timing chain when the engine was out.

There are computer differences and reluctor wheel differences on the engine’ crank

i think the easiest way is to compare the engine computer on each jeep.
