1998 grand cherokee check engine light, help please!

hey guys my moms zj just throw a P0748 code.

does this mean i have to get a new trans? or is it something i can replace a little easier?


gas mileage is horrible... any help is greatly appreciated...

P0748 (M) Governor Pressure Sol Control/Trans Relay Circuits An open or shorted condition detected in the Governor Pressure Solenoid circuit or Trans Relay Circuit in JTEC RE transmissions.
